The Devil’s Advocate – Steve Cavanagh

This post is also available in: Spanish

Like all the Steve Cavanagh novels I’ve read so far (all from the Eddie Flynn series) this one is great too.

According to my assessment, it’s the third best of all those published so far: the first 13, the second Fifty-Fifty.

What I liked the least is that it’s known from the very beginning who the bad guys are and that the accusation against the suspect is an injustice.

As already stated in the novel, the atmosphere and the spirit, in general, of both the people and the police forces, etc. is very similar, and based (I think) on To Kill a Mockingbird.

But, as always, and in this case against all possibility, it resolves the case in favor of the accused who is, in reality, innocent. And it also makes the bad guys pay for their evil deeds.

My recurring note: it’s a shame they don’t translate them into Spanish anymore. They’ve only translated 13, so far. I don’t know what they are waiting for for the others. They deserve it.
